Happy Easter Everyone!

Before we go back to work or school, we still have this Sunday to celebrate and enjoy with our loved ones. Wishing everyone a Happy Easter! Hope you remembered the reason for the holiday and took time to reflect and pray :)

This holy week was extra special for me because for the first time I fasted. Okay, I know I'm nearly 25 years old and I'm already 4 years too late to start fasting. I've always neglected this Catholic obligation because I have a passion for food. Translation: ako'y matakaw. But this year, I can no longer delay it. I really wanted to be a better person and stay true to what I believe in. So, since Ash Wedenesday, I've been trying to abstain every Friday. Though I'd forget to skip on meat sometimes, I think for the most part, I was able to fulfill it. It all came down this Friday when I only had one meal the entire day as my ultimate sacrifice. I thought I couldn't do it but I did. And it felt great. I was full. Not with food as my sustenance, but with love and faith. It wasn't an obligation anymore but selfless love :)

............As soon as the clock struck 12am on Saturday, I went from fasting to feasting! hahahaha NOT! semi-feast lang :)

Happy Easter everyone! Hope your Holy Week was as fulfilling! :)

Say hello to my new baby!

Finally, I don't have to sulk anymore. I was able to replace my stolen iPod Nano with something better! (Well, for the most part). Just got the iPod Touch 32gb! Yaaaaay! More music. more videos. now, with apps, too! Not that I'm big on games or other applications but it's an awesome addition. Also, you can expect more features and awesomeness. This is the best!!!!

Some flaws though:
NO MUSIC CROSSFADE. Of all the features, I wish they could've stuck with this one. The first time I discovered that, back when I still had the Nano 2nd gen I think, I was in love. How could they skipped on that this time???

SOFTWARE GLITCH. If you have the new iPod Touch, do you experience the weirdness on the upper part of the screen. I don't really know how to describe it or what it's called but I guess those with 4.3 software know what I'm talking about. Thanks to Popach for researching on that. Now, I know it's just the software. Wish they could fix that glitch soon.

NOT TOO TRAVEL-FRIENDLY. Considering that it's touchscreen, it's hard to take it with you on your daily commute especially when skipping songs. As a Nano user, I'm still adjusting to the sensitivity of the iTouch. Before I'd simply slip my fingers in my bag or pocket to change songs, so it's safer and more convenient - no need to take it out. With this one, I have to unlock it, check if I'm pressing the right botton, skip the song and lock it. Whew! But I'll get used to it :)

BUT with all that said, I'M SUPER SUPER HAPPY AND IN LOVE! :)

Say hello to my new love :)

I hope I can take better care of this :)

Foodventure #1: Kimi Krazy Banana

This is a test post for a long over due collabo with Hana on our future food blog. More on that soon. For the meantime, here's a taste of our first yummy adventure. We tried the coolest and most creative ice cream yet. Would you ever think that you can mash the words cool and creative when talking about food? Not until the new (actually, not-so-new) Kimi Krazy Banana! The outer surface is jelly which you can actually PEEL! Yup, peel it like a banana! Once peeled, get to the banana-custard treat. The banana flavor is not too strong. I find some banana flavored treats too flavorful and dizzying but this one's creamy and yummy! TIP: Don't bite off jelly tip at once. Let it melt a little so peeling will be easier. Don't worry it's pre-cut so you get the perfect banana peel! Enjoy! :)

crazy for Krazy Banana

LOOK! banana ice cream!

crazy banana and kathy spider monkey :)

the VERDICT: 2 THUMBS UP ;p
watch out for a different food blog coming your way! :)

Country music, anyone?

I can't stop watching this! I love love love their collabo! Of all the musical genres, I think country music's my least favorite so this is a defining moment. Wait, is this even country? But whatever. I'm completely mesmerized. I hope they do this on American Idol, which I think, by the way, is my favorite season so far. I'll get to that on a another post. Just want to share this with all of you. By the way, how can I embed vids? I know, I suck.

Friday Night highLights

My bum Friday had a happy ending after all. Thanks to the little surprises through my day. I now have a new addiction! Say hello to my 3 new buddies: (thanks to lindy and lexie. these 3 are nothing compared to your collection! haha addiction talaga.) I should practice my skills for lexie's upcoming birthday! hahaha :) eggciting! lex and lindy, thanks for these!

FINALLY! The most-awaited moment in Seattle Grace Hospital! The Grey's Anatomy Music Event aired on Friday. There were high and low points but the end saved it for me. In a rare moment, I just wasn't focused on the story (because it was Callie-centric and I've had it with her hehe kidding.) It was all about the SONGS! For non-GA lovers out there, this series was home to some of the best songs out there. Before they aired on the radios and mtvs, THE Alex Petsavas mounted them on this show and gave them their break. It's same thing she magic she used on the soundtrack of  The O.C. and GG to name a few. She's a musical genius and I love her selections. KATZ you are lucky to have had met her!

The whole cast did a great job. Kudos to the Tony-winning singing and acting chops of Sara Ramirez! Great thing they sang all the GA signature songs from snow patrol, anna, kate, the fray, jesus jackson, gomez, brandi, get set go and KT. I died.

I love Fridays :)
