home zzzweet home.

Welcome home tito bernie!

Can't wait to go on another farm adventure weekend or just go mall-ing :)

Sarap ng weekend! Kain. Tulog. Music. TV. Internet. BUM.

Huhuhu Monday here I come.

By the way, SONA nga pala! I remembered back in College I was super glued to current events that i even rush home just to catch the SONA and have a post analysis with katz, kats, trina and janie! hehehe now, i stopped caring-- which is sick. the moment one stopped caring, the world stops changing. and if that change is for the better, then im sorry for ever stopping. today's must: stop being a nobody and be a better somebody for anybody.

rainy days and fridays.

sa wakas. weekend.

i looooove the rain but not on working days!

one thing i hate about it is having to give up my cozy bed in exchange of the wet, stressful outside world. The whole week has been a difficult commute what with all the non stop pouring and flooding. finally. here come's the weekend! my itineraries:

• dvd marathon - finally got a copy of GG 2 and 17 again :) and duplicity for my dad. cant expect him to watch 17 again with me, tal and pel haha

• time travel - the book that is :) have to finish na i'm the most turtle bookworm ever!

• dentist! - the most dreaded place one can ever go to. not a fan.

• salon - i like! mom promised a hair makeover if i go home early/not go out of the house. hehe

• sleep - period.

despite all this. weekend still gets me gloomy for some reason.
anyway, my mom hates the rain. wonder how she's holding up...will see her later but need to watch Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince first! hehe

finally, Congratulations Mommy Uma! :) hope to see Baby Yuan soon! :)

mind your own, mind of your own.

My aim today is to free myself from unnecessary thoughts that are killing me lately. so, i thought of going through my old blog posts.

I noticed that my recent entries weren't as happy and substantial (political/social) anymore. So much so that even the text aren't as colorful as before. sooo black and dull!!! Did my love for writing/blogging diminished through the years? It's sad to think that my entries aren't as fun anymore :( Somehow I think it's got something to do with my state of mind. If you know me for a long time, you'll notice that I've lost a certain flare in my personality. I've turned into a free-flowing paperboat from a wave-riding surfboard. Probably to cope with destructive situations?? certainly.

Anyway, one thing's for sure. I'll always have grammar errors! hahaha ang dami nung binabasa ko lahat. i know, i know, kakahiya! copywriter pa naman ako. hahahaha anyway, good thing this is a blog. One place where mistakes won't matter and you aren't accountable for your opinions. FREEDOM.

salamat sa blog. blog is love <3

current read: The Time Traveler's Wife

a looooong over due one. wished i started reading this earlier.
first page palang, dagger na :(

i still remember convincing Popachki to read it more than a year ago! haha yun pala ako pa di nagbabasa, haha! anyway she loved it and so far im loving it too! :)

anyway, if you haven't read this one, do so ASAP before the movie comes out on august!
coming from my last book w/c was the twilight saga, ha! Audrey Niffenegger kicked Stephenie Meyer's butt! haha
i miss reading between the lines, deciphering messages and that certain "aaaahhhhh" when you finally connect the plot points. Didn't experience those when I was reading twilight, it spoonfed the readers kasi.

true literary classic vs. popculture treat

go treat yourself to this literary journey :)

Gone too soon indeed...

Woke up this morning and realized that I didn't even write one entry about Hollywood's big lost last week. The passing of Fawcett and Jackson are not only shocking but all the more heartbreaking.

Every morning, I would turn on the TV just to jumstart my day and not get the shock of my life when i take a bath. It's a habit to warm me up before I go through my day. So there I was turning on the TV while eating my breakfast when I found out through CNN that MJ is dead. Shocked. Outraged. Saddened. Even though I wasn't a HUGE fan, I have BIG respect for his music and influence in every artist today. From moonwalking to chart-topping records, that was POPCULTURE. That was MICHAEL JACKSON.

Forgetting I had just woken up, my eyes were glued to the screen for all the little details I don't wanna miss. Then, on the crawling marquee, another news shocked my day. An 'angel' left Hollywood and has gone off to a place where stars never fade and lights never go off. Farraw Fawcett succumbed to the big C.

With all this happening, there was only one person I could ever think of. My mom was a HUUUGGGEEEE fan of MJ and Farrah. Im positive that she hasn't heard of this yet so I just have to tell her ASAP and could not wait till after work to tell her. True enough, she was devastated when she got the news. I remembered my mom saying that those 2 influenced her in a lot of ways. From her fascination and awe in MJ to Farrah's trademark gorgeous hair! Looking back, I remember my mom's old pics and her hair was indeed sooooo Farrah!

With both gone too soon, I hope their legacies live through the artists we have today. Their craft is not one to be wasted.
