Militar Nuptials

Yesterday, I got a text from Banana saying, "pwede ka? Baka kasal ko this afternoon, witness ka."

OMG. I wanted to cry. Seriously. I know my sister and I are now wedding converts but this kind of things still gets me!

My banana getting married... It seems as if yesterday, she was only a little girl...hahaha!

More than anything, I just feel extremely lucky to have shared the moment and witnessed their union. It's been a long time coming and it's still as sweet and romantic as you hope it to be :)

To banana and matt, wishing you guys a marriage full of adventure, love and happiness.

Of Sunsets and Santa

For the annual company Christmas party, HQ thought of leaving the crowded metro and headed to sunny Batangas. With only 7 of us celebrating this year, it was more of a barkada outing. It's all about the r & r, baby! Definitely, the perfect way to end a challenging year.

Christmas Cramming

Every year, I promise myself to do better on my Christmas shopping. I hate being caught up in the whole shopping frenzy. The lines, the overcrowding, the traffic and the one time-big time spending! One gift at a time, I say, but still to no avail. Procrastination always gets the best of me and this year was no exception. I'm waaaaaay behind.

Aaaarrrgh! The madness of rushing to accomplish my list...which by the way is still an old school, kubrador kind of list my sister laughs at. At this day and age, I could have just noted it on my phone or itouch - I guess, this proves I'm really a pen-and-paper kind of girl. (which my sister points out again. She knows too much about me :)

What makes everything worth it, though is when I'm finally able to buy the perfect gift for each one. Nothing can be more rewarding than knowing you've exerted effort into the whole gift-giving process. It makes everything so worth it. From brainstorming the present to wrapping it up in the most special way possible.

Anyway, I just have to blog this to remind myself next year what a bittersweet experience it's been. For the meantime, here comes another challenging task...gift wrapping!

Happy Christmas everyone! Here's to hoping that beyond the material things, love and happiness are always at the top of our lists year-round. Let's get ready for 2012. LEGGO! :)

New Hair

My unruly curls are driving me insane lately. So guess what i did? I chopped it! So much that even my bangs took the blow.

This is going to take alot of getting used to. Haven't had bangs like this since uhhhmmm...grade school! Was aiming for that chic look I'm not sure if it was successful. Anyway, will sport this cut for a long time I guess. I don't mind, I feel fresh and renewed! haha, arte lang! :)

God, please give me patience to rock this hair longer. I think my tress is getting stressed with all the changes. Haha :)

Starbucks Planner 2012

Time flies so fast! It's that time of the year again for the annual sticker craze. After all that calorie intake, I finally got my planner! This is becoming an addiction I cannot get out of - wait!- just realized I'm on my 5th planner already! This is bad.

This year was all about being green. I chose the Bamboo out of 5 designs.

The 2012 planner is noticeably smaller than the usual which is definitely a downer for me because I use this for work and that extra space is always a plus. I don't know how this new one can hold all the work sched. And, it's missing the string which was replaced by an ordinary bookmark. Guess it's all part of their green efforts.

Nonetheless, the sleeve concept is amazing! If you like to carry your planner around, then it's perfect for you! As for me, I thought of turning the sleeve into a book case for travelling! Brilliant, Starbucks! :) Now, I can carry around a book without the dog ears (Yes, because I'm OC and folded book corners are a pet peeve). Can't wait to use this!

Wonder what they'll have for 2013. Stay tuned :)
