Scribbles hearts Cake Parade

Look what Cake Parade got you for your birthday Scribbles...

Scribbles Cupcakes!

I think it's the sweetest ever! Thank you Banana! I'm so touched and happy! It's Scribbles' first bday party. I'm a terrible mother-blogger :) haha.

When Banana went to work that day, I motioned my hand to ask for cupcakes since I was reading her blog and saw the mouth-watering treats she made for NomNomNom. She said she didn't have any and I got sad because my tummy's asking for 1! :) And then when I turned my back she became quiet and when I turned again I saw her sneakily peeking through a box. I asked, "Banana what's that?", she quickly covered it and said. "Nothing!" To my mind I was thinking, "This sneaky little brat!" hahaha. No, not really. I just thought she was being weird. Then yun pala...tada! Huhuhu tears fell from Scribbles' eyes :) Thank you! :)

So, my dearest blog, happy birthday officialy! Let's keep Banana and Cake Parade our friends forever so we will always have a party :)

And also, super thanks to the HQ girls for joining in on the fun and for Popachki who took time to make a funny and cute photobooth.

Will post more pics soon.

HAPPY BLOGVERSARY! :)

SCRIBBLES turns 4 this month!!!

I can't believe I've been keeping this blog for a loooong time. Ok I know I may not be the best blogger in the world. In fact, I consider myself as the worst. But the fact that I've updated my blog to this day proves that writing is something I'm truly deeply madly in love with :)

I wish I could join the band wagon and come up with amazing promos for my blogversary but of course I'll just end up wasting them. No one will join most probably, hehe :) So for now I'll just toast to all the time and thoughts I've poured into my blog and celebrate this whole month with amazing entries.

I was thinking of blogging something more literary for a change. How about a month of poems? I've never really shared any of that. Hhhmmm.. We'll see :)  I'll just play it by ear :)

I realized that in 4 years one can already...
finish high school
get a college degree
build a career
start a family
circumnavigate the world
be famous
redesign their blog a hundred times :)
change their life

In the past 4 years, I'm just happy to be where I am and just write about anything I want. I guess that's just the beauty of having a blog. Share your stories. Keep your memories.

Cheers to 4 years of nonsensical writing :) Thanks for sticking around.

Never Let Me Go

I want to read this badly before the movie comes out on January. (Please, Santa?)

This is the kind of novel that gives me butterflies and tickles my imagination. The trailers are great too hopefully the movie itself will be just as beautiful.

I. Can't. Wait.

Molar Extraction Part 1

I finally had my lower right molar removed. Initially, I wanted to blog daily about my dental surgery experience last Wednesday but it was a bit uncomfortable to be in front of the computer for a long time and my mind was more focused on recovering rather than thinking of words to describe the ordeal, hehe! :)

So yes, I'm one of the few million people with impacted molars on the lower jaw. I still have to go through part 2 early next year as I only had 1 taken out this week. Anyway, it was nothing like how I imagined it to be - surprisingly, it was less painful! The whole time I was anaesthesized and I can't even feel a thing until the anaesthesia started to wear off and my dentist had to inject another. She can tell because my right eye was making unvolutary twitches haha. Thank goodness I was so used to all those facial injections from my pimple treatments and all the bunot I went through when i was a kid that I found this to be quite bearable. My dentist also jokingly said that, "It would be easy, imagine, 1 year mo to pinaghandaan!" hahaha. it's true, though. I was stalling for a year so I was ready.

After 1 hour (only!), 1 giant molar, 3 anaesthesia shots, and 4 sutures...I had my pesky molar removed! finally! it won't be bothersome anymore. When i got home that's when i felt the pressure pounding my jaw and all I can do is wish the painkiller wont give me allergies and that we have enough ice in the ref for my cold compress. Good thing all's well! (revelation 1: found the perfect painkiller that will kick my allergy's butt to the curb! Thanks to my molar!) I don't want to end up with swollen cheek and eyes! Pain is hard enough to deal with.

Anyway, the difficult part was only on the 1st day when you can barely open your mouth and move around scared to death that these might open up the stitches and make me bleed to death :) 2nd day was a little better though the right side of my face was swelling with bearable pain. aarrrggghhhh. But it gets better when the pain subsides and you can just enjoy your FREE DAY!!!!! watching tv and whiling away the hours! :) I love't! I was prepared for this! I stacked up on new movies and korean series for my 3-day leave! yipee! Plus i even got a straw which was a BIIIIG help ;)

my twin! haha :) i don't know if you can tell that my right cheek's swelling :) katakot face ko wasted in pain :)

Revelation 2 (and the most significant of all): I can handle pain. When down to the wire, I can manage it and not panic. I always thought I had such low threshold for pain but this experience gave me a new perspective of my tolerance. But I'm not asking for more. I think this will suffice for a lifetime :)

I'm still going back next week to have the stitches removed. I wish I could post pictures of my freshly-removed bloody molar which I took after the procedure and a cleaner version after I washed it. Yup, took them home! :) (Them meaning the tooth was dissected into 5 pieces to extract it easier). But this is a wholesome blog I dont want anything too graphic and gruesome :) I'm just dying to show you what an actual tooth root looks like!!! Or even my super cool xray where you can see my molars sleeping :)

my bum companions :) Perfect Match! (Finished in 2 days! haha!), Ramona & Beezus!, Social Network and yup, gantsilyo! (very lola-ish! i like!--my sister's prpoject haha)

That's it for now. I guess you have to wait for the next part which I don't want to think of just yet. Till my next molar adventure! For the mean time I will continue living on ice cream, soup and water :)

PS. If you want me to post my scary molar, it's by request hehe :)
